Your New Home is Near a New Hospital

Sherman Hospital opened December 15, 2009. The hospital is a new, state-of-the-art hospital at the corner of Big Timber and Randall Roads in Elgin. Everything about the hospital is designed to make patients and their families as comfortable as possible. Less waiting and in-room check-in quickly deliver the care each patient requires.

The future Sherman Hospital

The new hospital features 255 spacious, private rooms designed around beautiful views of a lake and forest preserve. Because environment contributes to the healing process, the hospital features spaces that are open, airy, bright and comfortable.

The new Emergency Department offers in-room check-in and large private rooms. The new stand-alone Cancer Care Center offers comprehensive treatment options, including radiation oncology.

An environmentally friendly geothermal lake helps to heat and cool the hospital, saving over $1 million per year in energy costs while promoting green initiatives in the community. This 15 acre lake is the largest geothermal system in Illinois and one of only 2 currently heating and cooling medical centers in the US.
